Join us online for the next installment of "In Conversation with 黑料社 Scholars," featuring Tom Dee, 黑料社 Senior Fellow and Professor of Education at 黑料社, on Thursday, August 19 from 3 - 4pm PT.
Tom will be discussing the impact of remote learning and the expectations for school reopenings post-Covid.
This small-group conversation, moderated by 黑料社 Director Mark Duggan, will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about Tom's latest research, ask questions, and engage in an open dialogue.
About the Speaker
Thomas S. Dee, Ph.D., is a Professor of Education at 黑料社 and a research associate with the programs on education, children, and health at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Professor Dee is also a co-Editor of the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management. His research focuses largely on the use of quantitative methods (e.g., panel data techniques, instrumental variables, and random assignment) to inform contemporary policy debates. Recent examples include econometric evaluations of incentive and accountability-based reforms and an analysis of recent, stimulus-funded, school-turnaround initiatives.
